I stepped in pesticide treated lawn, what can happen from that?

I was out today and I stepped in pesticide treated lawn with my shoe. Im not worried about it at all, but my shoes are in my room now and I was wondering if it can contaminate anything and make me sick or something, because I see those signs a lot in my neighborhood. Also, if i were to ingest it somehow, what would it do? Would I just get sick?
