Electric or acoustic? PLEASE HELP!?

Hey, I'm a teenager, and I'm starting guitar this summer. My favorite bands are ac/dc, silverchair, nirvana, pearl jam, wolfmother, muse and my fave songs are even flow, smells like teen spirit, love buzz, highway to hell, emotion sickness, tomorrow, map of the problematique, and woman. I also like beethoven and chopin, and have been taking piano for 7 years along with voice lessons on and off. Taking in mind my musical tastes and previous musical tastes, which type of guitar should I start with, and what make? Keep in mind I plan to get a guitar teacher. I also plan to start a grunge/alternative/prog rock band at the beginning of the next school year.
